Can you please tell me if you have a product that combines Acetyl L Cartinine and Alpha Lipoic Acid together? Thank you for your anticipated prompt reply to my question.
   Our formulator, Dr. Ray Sahelian, M.D. does not think this combination is safe unless used in low dosages. We have had feedback from users of this combination in certain formulas, for instance 500 mg of acetyl l-carnitine and 100 mg of alpha lipoic acid, that heart rhythm disturbances have occurred.

Shipping to Canada and Overseas

   Yes, the natural products can be shipped to Canada, except for yohimbe, DHEA and melatonin.

Are the natural supplements shipped to Mexico?
   Mexican customs and sometimes the postal service have not been reliable, therefore, for the time being no shipments are being sent to Mexico.

   Shipping to UK, England, Ireland, Scotland, is very reliable and takes less than 2 weeks, sometimes less than a week.

I have just ordered some supplements from you, but living in the UK it is really expensive - have to pay loads of import duty and tax. Can you tell me if you have any UK internet sites where your products can be obtained please?
    Not at this time.

Do you ship to Germany or Austria?
   Customs in these countries is very difficult to deal with so we do not ship to Austria, Germany and Italy.

Auto-ship program
Does Advance Physician Formulas offer an auto-ship program? I noticed you offer a free bottle of Diet Rx and was wondering if you charged the credit card number monthly.
   We do not. We delete credit card numbers as soon as an order is processed. Even if you wanted to have a product shipped to you on a regular basis, we don't have the set up to do it. If you wish to get another bottle, you would have to place another order. Those who do not wnat to keep entering their credit cards numbers each time have the option to use PayPal or Google Checkout.

Products in stores
I live in Barrington, NJ. Can you please tell me if any of your formulas are sold in any specific stores in my area such as Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, Vitamin Shoppe, Sam’s Club, Rite Aid, Walgreens, CVS Pharmacies, Walmart, and Costco.
   Advance Physician Formulas has chosen to stay focused on the internet at this time rather than with the complicated aspects of dealing with large chains of retail stores.

I was just inquiring whether Physician Formulas products are sold in stores? If so, which stores please? (e.g. Health Food store chains e.g. GNC? Perhaps Wal-Mart? Pharmacies?).
    Although some health food stores in the country carry some of the products, the most reliable inventory is available on line at the website. Some health food stores carry some of the products, but not all of them.

Consumer feedback
I wanted to inform you that Advance Physician Formulas has an unusual amount of objectivity about the various supplements. Recently, I was reading a page and was struck by the fact that it said "Take this capsule several times a week." Naturally, supplement manufacturers have an underlying conflict of interest regarding dosage and frequency - the more often a customer takes the supplement, the more often they will buy a new bottle. So, it is no surprise that in decades of taking vitamins and supplements, I have never seen a supplement company that does not list the word "daily" in the recommendations.
   Our first concern is to provide supplements that are helpful for people with the most benefits and fewest side effects. Some supplements have cumulative effects, and whereas it may have been beneficial at first to take them daily, after a while side effects occur with continued use. As such it is sometimes, or often, better to take these pills less frequently.

I have been purchasing from Advance Physician Formulas since 2005. My first purchase with Passion Rx with Yohimbe and I have been very satisfied with this product. I only take a capsule twice a week and take a week of each month as suggested. Since then I have purchased several products, particularly when they go on sale since I subscribe to the newsletter and the sale and discount announcements are made one or twice a month. I regularly buy the curcumin product. Shipping is prompt and I have not had any problems. One time a wrong bottle was sent. It was replaced right away.

It always stuns me when I call a company phone number and an actual person picks up the phone. That is the case almost every time I call Advance Physician Formulas to place an order. I am still from the old school and don't like ordering on the internet unless I can talk to a live human being. The phone customer relations people are very friendly and courteous. I had to write to you about the amazing customer service I received from Marita, one of your customer care representatives. I am currently deployed in Iraq and do a lot of shopping online; unfortunately, I run into lots of problems because vendors do not cater to APO addresses. I'm a vegetarian and I ran out of my Veg Rx vitamins and have been trying to find them online (the food served in the dining facilities here does not cater to vegetarians, I know, big surprise!). I was extremely happy to see that you sold them, but there was a problem with my address when I was checking out. Since I've ran into this problem countless times, I begrudginly emailed your shipping department, but instead of getting an automated message, I immediately got a response back from Marita. Not only did she take care of my order extremely quickly, but due to her experience she recommended a better shipping option that could save me weeks in getting my order.
